Clogged dryer vents are responsible for thousands of house fires each year, making them the leading cause of appliance-related fires in residential settings. Regrettably, many homeowners overlook or fail to identify the warning signs of a blocked dryer vent until it is too late, putting their homes, furniture, valuables, and cherished items at risk of destruction by fire. To effectively prevent house fires associated with your dryer, it is essential to have your dryer vent serviced and maintained. Consumer Reports advises that dryer vents should be cleaned at least once a year. Professional cleaning not only protects your family from potential fire hazards but also mitigates health risks such as carbon monoxide poisoning and allergic reactions or asthma attacks caused by mold growth. Additionally, well-maintained dryer vents can lead to reduced energy costs and prolong the lifespan of your dryer, it would surprise you to know that many people replace their dryers thinking they are broken due to it not drying their clothes and or giving error codes, all caused by a restricted dryer vent. Incorporating dryer vent cleaning into your annual home maintenance checklist is important and affordable. You can trust us at Midwest Dryer Vent Pros to ensure your dryer vent remains clean and functional. Schedule an appointment to inspect and service your dryer vents as part of your regular home maintenance routine.
We start every job off by taking air flow readings and use a camera to inspect the vent from inside to outside. After that, the cleaning begins, starting with the dryer to the vent hood, whether it's on the side of the home or the roof. When the process is finished, we make sure everything is cleaned and clear of any lint, obstruction, and damage, followed by providing before and after results.
We use a high-powered vacuum with a snap lock rotary tool, this includes a special fitting to clean the vent while also containing the lint, so debris are not flying all over. Depending on the severity of the lint accumulated, we may have to use different rotary attachments or depending on the style of vent we may use compressed air.
We are based out of Hudson WI. However, we also service the surrounding areas, including the Twin Cities.
